This question is asked nearly 300 times a day! CHEMTREC has handled over a million emergencies since its founding as a public service of the American Chemistry Council in 1971.
CHEMTREC (CHEMical TRansportation Emergency Center) is dedicated to assisting emergency responders deal with incidents involving hazardous materials.
CHEMTREC also provides a cost-effective method for shippers of hazardous materials to comply with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation 49 CFR § 172.604.
