CHEMTREC has an unmatched collection of over 4 million Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), as well as immediate access to thousands of chemical product specialists and hazardous materials experts through our database of 30,000 manufacturers, shippers, carriers, public organizations and private resources.
¨ Compliance
There are government regulations, such as the US Department of Transportation’s 49 CFR § 172.600-604, which require shippers of hazmat to provide 24/7 phone coverage to allow for immediate response in the event of an emergency. Basic Registration with CHEMTREC authorizes the Registrant to use the CHEMTREC emergency phone number on shipping documents where the origin and/or the destination is in the United States or Canada. Global Authorization with CHEMTREC authorizes the Registrant to use the CHEMTREC emergency phone number on shipping documents where both the origin and destination are outside the United States and Canada. Coverage includes all hazmat shipments including radioactive materials, infectious substances, and biological waste.

CHEMTREC’s trained and experienced Emergency Service Specialists are able to consult with industry medical experts and chemical toxicologists who provide advice and emergency medical treatment assistance to on-scene medical professionals treating victims of product exposure
