CHEMTREC® International Emergency Response Summit Findings to be presented at American Chemistry Council Responsible Care® Conference in May
CHEMTREC® hosted the first-of-its-kind International Emergency Response Summit in Miami on February 22-24. The seminar attracted 132 participants from more than a dozen countries representing manufacturers, hazardous materials shippers, emergency response organizations, industry associations, emergency communications centers, academia, research facilities, and emergency centers.
The participants in this unique event discussed challenges and practices associated with responses to chemical emergencies in South Asia, Central and South America, and Central and Eastern Europe. Attendees expressed enthusiasm that the Summit created a needed foundation upon which a potentially valuable global emergency response network could be built – one which could provide assistance to chemical companies in addressing issues related to emergency response in the international arena.
The Summit findings will be presented at the ACC Responsible Care® Conference in May.
