Chemical Watch Expo 2023

CHEMTREC will be exhibiting at the Chemical Watch Expo 2023 from June 15-16. This year's event is being held at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Rich Davey will be speaking on Thursday, June 15 at 11:30 a.m. on the topic of "Emergency Response Compliance – Providing Clarity in a Challenging Regulatory Arena." Rich's talk will discuss: 

• Overview of emergency telephone number requirements around the world 

• Key supply and transport regulations in the APAC region and how to conform 

• How to meet emergency response and hazardous products registration requirements in key APAC markets 

• Challenges of exporting to Europe

Afterwards, at 12:30 p.m., Senior Crisis Consultant Gareth Black will give a presentation on "Crisis, Emergency and Incident Response and Planning in the Chemical Sector." He will discuss topics, including:

• Double hatters – support required for non-specialists asked to perform emergency planning duties 

• Removing silos – the role of HSSE, process safety teams, and others in effective emergency preparedness and response 

• Equipping responders to respond, exploring the skills required for effective emergency response in the chemical sector 

• The use of technology to improve situational awareness and enhance emergency response coordination across all stakeholders and all levels of response.
